What we offer

At V-sektionen there are around 1100 students and most of them are interested in connecting with the business already at their first year in order to get an insight into future opportunities. Therefore, we offer companies ways to appear on and cooperate with us by organizing meetings between students and industry. Below you can read a bit about the various possibilities we offer.

Lunch presentation

Here does the company get the opportunity to present themselves during a lunch (about 45 minutes). This is always appreciated by both students and companies. The section serves lunch in connection with the presentation, this fits in well with the students’ schedule and thus usually always get good attendance. There tend to be appreciated when talking about a special project or present any special equipment beyond the ordinary business presentation.

Company visits

To get an insight into the real work there sometimes are arranged company visits. This is much appreciated by students as the MSc program is a theoretical training. As a student there are generally helpful to see concretely what they can work with in the future. This is also a great way for businesses to be seen and get in contact with potential future employees. Here there can be different types of trips, depending on the business and projects.

CASE

A company gets on a night the opportunity to come to us on V-sektionen and present their company and arrange a current case linked to their activities as students work with an assignment during the evening . This tends to be much appreciated by the students as they themselves must contribute knowledge while learning from the company.

Advertisment

Every Monday evening during the term there is a newsletter that sends out to the students on V- sektion. This newsletter provides information about what’s happening on campus during the coming week. It goes out to all the section’s students, then about 1100 people. At V-sektionens premises there are a bulletin board reserved for information and advertisements from the business community, which is well visible for all our members. If a company chooses to have an ad with us, this will also appear on our social media.

Introduktion week

Lund has a solid tradition of the beginning of one’s studies to undergo a nollning. This is for students normally the strongest memory that you have from all its time at LTH, a time that you always look back on with a smile on your face . The nollning is the time to tie incredible number of contacts, which lays the foundation not only for studies, but also for what will continue. As a new student at Lund there is a lot to learn and take in, and you are normally extremely open to new impressions. A various amount of companies are marketing their logo in connection with the nollning. There are many ways companies contribute to a good nollning.
